Teacher

The teachers at IICS are chosen from the same communities as the students. This will not only help in the development of the community, but will enable them to mentor students at home, provide after-school support, and conduct adult literacy programmes in their respective villages.

Teachers are a mix of graduates, post-graduates and 12th pass trainees. And all of them undergo a rigorous 9-month training programme at the Indus Training and Research Institute.

While the teachers for the primary classes will be "integrated teachers" who will teach all subjects, the senior class teachers will be master teachers. Master teachers will be subject experts responsible for overall guidance, capacity building and development of curriculum.
